Gardeners Arms, 9 Terminus Road, Brighton

Owned/operated by Smithers 1844-1929; Tamplin and Sons Ltd 1929-(1963), then Watneys to closure in 1970.[1]

HistoryEdit

Soon after Brighton Station was opened in 1840, Terminus Road was laid out, mostly as houses but including shops and this Inn. William Wright was the first licensee. In 1970 Watneys decided to delicence the premises, so the Inn closed and it became a private house.[2]
